Do non-reproducible prompts need to be included in AI Metadata?

Posted under General

Should prompts be included in the AI metadata for images that cannot be reproduced using only prompts, such as images using NovelAI's Vibe Transfer?
Or is it better not to include it?

There was a thread about the partial_metadata tag (topic #282) about three months ago and I brought up the question on when metadata couldn't be included on an image such changing prompts for inpainting. While the conversation there on defining what constitutes complete metadata wasn't agreed upon by this Booru's community, I'm going to say based on the conversation there isn't that much attention focused on metadata here, and those who really care about accurate metadata (like myself) are in the minority.

After all, this is a Booru first, not a metadata repository.

If you're looking for a solution, as new gen technologies come out, there can always be new metadata tags added like how we have inpainted, lora, and upscaled tags, but as I mentioned in topic #282, most of the time the original generator will know all the technologies going into an image, so expecting that on images scraped from Pixiv will probably be impossible.

Thanks for the response. I had missed that thread.
Thinking about it again, now that there are more and more production processes other than prompts, it is probably useless to think about reproducibility.
For now, I will continue to include it in the AI metadata, even if it is incomplete. Thank you very much.
