Mistress Miara Darvynea Felyndiira T'Eldaernth, of the Cómhaoin, has had a long enough political career to have earned a few nicknames, not all of them flattering, the most common of which is "Miara Felyndiira Siath Tel'heleth." Translated from a dialect from beyond her homeland, it means "Miara, She of the Black Cloak," an unsubtle reference to the color of the clothing worn in her duties as a parliamentarian and a syndicalist. Of course, Miara has other clothes too: namely, the military uniforms she wore before she was promoted to the rank of Storm Brigadier in the Shock Armies, usually in the blue and green colors favored by the regular infantry. Naturally, a woman of her stature had various portraits made, both as official representations of her office but also for friends, family, and even her children to remember her by.
