A type of flightless aquatic bird with upright posture and black-and-white plumage.
Almost all penguin species are native to the Southern Hemisphere, and while they are famous for living in the frozen Antarctic, several live in temperate zones and a few are found in Africa or the equatorial Galapagos island chain.
