When the teeth of a character or characters is shown pressed together inside their own mouth in making a sad or angry expression. Like a grin but only without the smile. A grin should not be tagged clenched teeth.
This is often used in pain, anger, or even embarrassment. It can also appear through unconscious parted lips.
