綾波 ("Twilling Waves")
The personification of the Japanese destroyer Ayanami in Kantai Collection. 11th of the Special Types, 1st of her own class.

Appearance
She and Shikinami wear a brown version of the Fubuki-class serafuku. On her second remodel, her uniform becomes black with red stripes on white and she gains a searchlight.
She has long brown hair in a sidetail. Said sidetail becomes as long as she is tall once in her second remodel. This sometimes leads to references to Gon-san.
History
She is termed the "demon goddess" of the Third Torpedo Squadron (DesRon3) due to her performance in the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal, where she alone formed one 'prong' of a three-pronged attack. She assisted in the sinking of three destroyers (heavily damaging a fourth) and traded fire with South Dakota before she was severely damaged and sunk by Washington.
