A dirndl is a type of traditional dress worn in Bavaria, Liechtenstein, Austria and South Tyrol, based on the historical costume of Alpine peasants. An iconic outfit for female beer servers during Oktoberfest.
A dirndl consists of a bodice and skirt or a pinafore dress, a low-cut blouse with puffy short sleeves, and a waist apron.
