Fluttershy is a yellow and pink pegasus and one of the six primary characters in "My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic." She lives by herself but has many animals in her care. As her name suggests, she is very timid, easily frightened, and she dreads social pressure and teasing. She has a pet rabbit named Angel who serves as the Alpha to her Beta personality, forcing her to do things that she wants or needs to do, but does not have the will for. Her quiet and submissive nature has apparently made her a fan favorite among Japanese audiences, some of whom consider her to be an honorary Japanese citizen. Despite her usual personality, she can be very assertive if she is pushed far enough. In episodes involving the Elements of Harmony, she represents the Element of Kindness.
