Maetel is one of the main characters of the Ginga Tetsudou 999 (Galaxy Express 999) science fiction series created in the 70s by Matsumoto Leiji.

Maetel is a tall and mysterious blonde woman who accompanies Hoshino Tetsurou on the Galaxy Express 999 spacecraft and has many adventures with him.
