"西方" (Japanese for "west")
A series of doujin vertical shooter games created by the members of "Shunsatsu sare do?", featuring futuristic themes with science. It's currently no longer produced, with Ponchi/PBG and co. instead currently working on SUPER Mate Mate Laser.
It's known among groups that Seihou is a "sister series" to the Touhou Project due to being its opposite conceptually, right down to its name, Seihou, meaning "western", as opposed to Touhou, which means "eastern". ZUN has contributed music to the series, and three Touhou characters also appear in Seihou as guests.
Samidare is neither a Seihou nor Touhou game, but rather a Project Blank game. However, it contains elements of each and both Seihou and Touhou characters appear in it. It was created by the members of RebRank, who, just like "Shunsatsu sare do?" and Team Shanghai Alice, branched from Amusement Makers.
