She is presented in-lore as the second-in-command of the holoX secret organization, a hawk girl who is handling various matters for the group, and thus often acts as de facto leader.
A generally prim and proper character, Lui usually speaks in a soft and semi-formal tone, though she is also prone to unleash her cheerful and chaotic sides. She likes to make puns, such as "Mattakane?" (Did you wait for me?) She can speak and understand some English and Thai. She is also prone to getting scared by any unexpected things, and will let out a loud scream and sobbing out of panic.
Artists sometimes depict her as a hawk (especially in Holobirds group arts), as well as a bald eagle due to her initial personal emoji.
She is sometimes seen accompanied by her partner/caretaker, Ganmo the frogmouth, and two younglings: a smaller chick with one feather-ahoge named Tsumire, and a slightly larger chick with three feather-ahoges named Tsukune.
