あの日見た花の名前を僕達はまだ知らない。, lit. "We still don't know the name of the flower we saw that day.", abbreviated as AnoHana.

A Spring 2011 anime by A-1 Pictures and directed by Nagai Tatsuyuki, to be released in America as "Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day".

Five years had passed since the Super Peace Busters, a group of six friends, dissolved following the tragic death of one of their own, Honma Meiko, when the group's de facto leader, Yadomi Jinta, who has since become a reclusive teen, gets a visit from Meiko's ghost urging him to reassemble the gang to help her fulfill a wish so she may pass onto the afterlife. Slowly, they bring back the rest of the group: Anjou Naruko, who remained in touch with Jinta as classmate, Matsuyuki Atsumu, a handsome top-scorer and his schoolmate Tsurumi Chiriko, and Hisakawa Tetsudou, a wanderer who takes part-time jobs to fund his travels.
