asamiya athena

A character first introduced in the 1986 SNK game Psycho Soldier, but known best from The King of Fighters series. She is based on Princess Athena and is a descendant of hers. Asamiya Athena is a school girl and pop idol.

Asamiya Athena's costume (and even hairstyle) has been different from game to game, but always includes lots of red. In nude pictures, she can be distinguished from Princess Athena by her barrette, which is red or white with a golden star, or gold with a red heart, while Princess Athena's is simply gold. However, some fan art is intentionally or unintentionally ambiguous in the depiction.
