chips (food)
A type of snack food, made by slicing potatoes, corn tortillas, or other foods into very thin strips, deep frying them, then seasoning them with salt or other savory flavors.
Potato chips are the most common type of chip.
Not to be confused with french fries, which are called chips in British English.
