coat
A long garment worn for warmth, protection or fashion. Coats are made from thick material, therefore they have weight.
Compared to jackets lengthwise, coats tend to be longer than jackets. A jacket goes to the waist or hip. A coat goes down to thighs or past that.
They often feature lapelss.
