confederate flag

The flag known as the confederate flag is the naval jack of the Confederate States of America. Contrary to belief, it was never used as the national flag. Also mistakenly called Stars and Bars, that pertains to the first flag of the Confederate States. A square version of the naval jack is the land battle flag of the Confederate States. In modern days, the flags is associated with white supremacy and racism in a similar vein to the Nazi flag.

All flags connected to the Confederate States other than the aformentioned flag could be also be given the 'confederate_flag' tag.
