This tag should be used for when the date of creation is written somewhere on the image.
For when the date is written in the commentary, use dated commentary instead.
Do not use year-specific tags (such as 2018) to tag dates in pictures, unless the picture in question is centered around the year itself (such as in new year pictures and other festivities).
Use dating for the act of going on a romantic date.
Use timestamp for dates displayed in images that don’t have anything to do with date of image creation but instead add to the images’ settings (EX: date shown in recording).
