KFC, also known as Kentucky Fried Chicken, is a chain of fast food restaurants that specializes in fried chicken. It was founded by Colonel Sanders in 1952.
In Japan, KFC is a popular Christmas dinner, following an extremely successful advertising campaign (inspired by the fact that Westerners coming to Japan couldn't get any turkeys there).
