A practice from Japanese folklore where both hands are used to create a "window" gesture, which is then peered through to reveal hidden spirits, often youkai disguised as humans.
The gesture starts as both hands doing fox shadow puppets. The hands are then rotated and opened such that the fingers interlace with each other, creating the window.
