kote

小手

Kote (小手) are Japanese arm & shoulder armor, a form of armored sleeve usually covering from the forearms all the way to the shoulder. They are typically made by stitching many small plates into a padded sleeve.

Kote that only cover the forearms are called han kote, and are also covered by this tag.

Kurokote are a subtype of kote, usually made from black iron plates, which give them their color and name.
