The third and final generation of the Mazda RX-7, produced from 1992 to 2002 and sold in America from 1993 to 1995. This generation is the most recognizable of the series and is often considered one of Mazda's best cars.

The FD was prominently featured in Initial D, where Takahashi Keisuke drives a personalized model, and a heavily modified model also appears in The Fast and The Furious: Tokyo Drift as Han's main car.
