A superhero from DC Comics.
The alien from Planet Krypton, sent to Earth as an infant child. His birth name is Kal-El, and his adoptive parents name him Clark Kent. As living under a yellow sun grants Clark immense powers, such as hypersonic flight, nigh invulnerability, super strength, heat vision, a freezing breath, hypersensitive hearing, X-ray vision, and many others, he takes up the mantle of Superman - wearing a red cape and a blue suit as he performs great heroic deeds around the Earth and in the city of Metropolis.
Superman was created by the late Joe Shuster and the late Jerry Siegel and was first introduced in Action Comics #1 (1938)
