A country in South America. It shares borders with Argentina to its west and southwest and Brazil to its north and northeast. The Uruguay national football team has won the FIFA World Cup on two occasions. Uruguay won the inaugural tournament on home soil in 1930 (First World Cup) and again in 1950.
