A large complex of seven buildings in the Financial District of Lower Manhattan in New York City that originally stood from 1973 to 2001. More often referred to as the Twin Towers, in reference to its two tallest buildings, a pair of landmark buildings that stood there. The center was targeted as part of a terrorist attack on September 11, 2001, leading to the destruction of the Twin Towers.

A new complex was built on the site of the old one, including such sites as the National September 11 Memorial and buildings as the One World Trade Center.
