Good day.
I created a BUR here: forum #5292, but it didn't seem to be registered in the system.
Why is it and how can I validate this BUR request?
@teriri41 Read help:bulk update requests. You did not successfully create a BUR.
It should've been an alias, not a rename.
I deleted artist #11793. No need for duplicate entry.
@fish
the current name "necrololimancer" is too obsoleted, only shows <10% results relevant to the artist on google.
user can hardly find the artist with the current name.
that's why i think a rename is needed.
i created artist #11793 as a "container" for the rename.
even though the grammar is the same as shown in help:bulk update requests, it didn't go through.
i wonder why?
@fish
thank you for the request.
i have a few more questions and would greatly appreciate your advice,
if you have a few minutes.
a.
help:bulk update requests doesn't state the criteria for a BUR to pass.
does it pass automatically when hitting a specific number of votes?
or do purple users manually approve?
b.
satyr_(artist) is currently deleted.
are you sure an alias can be made even when the consequent tag is deleted?
c.
alias can redirect old artist name to new name.
is this the only reason alias is preferred over rename?

a. For this one, we will probably wait for an admin to approve it.
b. Not a problem.
c. Yes
