the approval process is dumb

I'm struggling to understand how the approval process works here. It seems like whether an image gets approved can sometimes come down to the personal preferences of the reviewer rather than objective quality standards.

For example, if an approver simply doesn't like furry content, it can feel like they're more likely to reject it regardless of whether the image itself is technically well-made. If that's the case, I don't think that's a particularly fair system.

In my opinion, approvals should be based on objective criteria—things like obvious AI artifacts (extra fingers, malformed hands, incorrect anatomy, broken eyes, etc.)—rather than whether the reviewer personally enjoys the subject matter.

I imagine I'm not the only person who's felt this way. I'd be interested to hear whether others have had similar experiences or if I'm misunderstanding how the approval process works.

Finally, could someone explain the proper way to appeal a rejected image? I'd appreciate any guidance.
