kikuzuki (kancolle)

菊月 菊月(艦隊これくしょん) 菊月(艦これ)

菊月 ("Chysanthemum Moon", another word for September)

Kikuzuki is the ninth ship of the Mutsuki-class destroyers in Kantai Collection.

The latter Mutsuki-class wear a black serafuku with a white tie and a crescent pin on themselves.

Kikuzuki herself has long white hair, black pantyhose and the crescent pin on her shirt's belt. She also seems to lack the white tie. As for Kikuzuki's personality she is very reserved and laconic with most of her dialogue sounding unenthusiastic. She shows a prominent dislike for war and fighting.

The historical Kikuzuki is one of the few IJN shipwrecks to be identified, and one of the only World War II ships to be visible above water. A google map photo view of her along with photos of the wreck and a summary of her history can be viewed here. Additionally, in 2016, numerous parts from Kikuzuki were recovered by a Japanese team, including her deck gun
